The Present study is a single subject study. Purpose of the study was to investigate effectiveness of gestalt therapy on generalized anxiety disorder and test anxiety with college students. Participants were recruited through posting on the local university campus. 5 individuals enrolled in the study. All individuals met criteria for generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) based on DSM-IV-TR and test anxiety by psychologist of counseling center of university. The effectiveness of Gestalt therapy for generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and test anxiety was evaluated in a baseline across post-treatment and follow-up. Self-report of GAD and test anxiety showed that four of the five participants reached low levels of GAD and test anxiety by post-treatment. Results support the construction of comprehensive gestalt therapy protocols for generalized anxiety disorder and test anxiety. Social Perspective-taking training program based on “knowledge-skills-abilities” Gelbach (2008) developed and its validity measured by assessors rating which Kappa coefficient was 0/838. The study population for Social Perspective-taking training consisted of self-referral couples experiencing marital conflict, referring to Sanandaj Counseling Centers. 73 couples gained the initial conditions study. Of these, 60 couples were selected on the basis of marital conflict test score clustered in two groups of 30 patients (each group consisted of 10 patients with moderate conflict, 10 people with severe conflict, and 10 people with profound conflict) initially Social Perspective-taking Scale, and Conflict Resolution Styles Scale completed by two groups. Experimental group received social perspective- taking training program at the end of ten sessions, re-assessment done. A month later, for the follow up stage, the groups completed the scales. Repeated measure analyzes of variance showed that social perspective-taking training changed the couple's conflict resolution styles. This change was sustainable over time. Scores of integrity style and compromise style increased but scores of avoidant and competitive style reduced significantly. Also training process increased Social Perspective taking Scale. Overall, the results suggested that social perspective-taking training program leaded to change in conflict resolution styles.

In the last few years academic engagement is known as the academic quality indicator and thus it has been considered as one of the goals of higher education. This study is conducted on the causal modeling of academic engagement based on personal and social resources. The study population consisted of all undergraduate students at Amir Kabir University in Tehran.. The sample group consisted of 375 samples (263 male and 113 female) that were selected randomly from the population. To collect data the academic engagement question, the subscales of optimism, self-esteem, supported academic performance, supportive relationships with peers and family health- support of Trauma Resilience Scale by Madsen and academic Self-Efficacy Scale of Breso et al were used. Data analysis showed that supported academic performance, self-esteem and academic self-efficacy directly affect academic engagement. Also social resources (supported academic performance, Supportive relationships with peers and family support) were indirectly associated with academic engagement through personal resources (self-efficacy, optimism and self-esteem). In general the present study predicts about 33% of the variance in academic engagement. The analysis of model validation indicators indicated the suitability and sufficiency of the final model.

The objective of present study was to investigate the effectiveness of “Positive Parenting Program training” on interaction of parent-child mothers of school-age children of Ahvaz. This study was an experimental research with pre-test, post-test and control group. Statistical population included all mothers of primary schools in Ahvaz. From among these mothers, 30 mothers were selected by purposing sampling. Then, they were randomly put in two groups of 15 persons each (an experimental group and a control group). The experimental group was exposed to an eight sessions training of positive parenting program but the people in control group received no program. The Parent Child Relationship Scale (PCRS) of Pianta (1994) was the research measurement tool. The obtained information by multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA), was analyzed by using the 20th version of statistical software of SPSS. The results of multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) indicated that at least in one of the components of parent-child interaction, there is a significant difference between the experimental and control group (P<0/001). The results also showed that the training of positive parenting program had positive and significant effect on conflict, dependence and total positive relationship (P<0/001). The results indicated that the training of positive parenting program will improve the parent-child interaction.
