The aim of the present study, which is done qualitatively, is to develop a conceptual model of academic success for the first-year high school students. To do so, the data required were gathered through interview and reviewing the related literature. The research population consisted of the parents of successful students, the instructors and the specialists of psychology and counseling as well as the related literature. The sampling was purposeful so that unless new information is gained, the sampling may terminate. The sample included 40 successful students’ parents, 15 instructors and 15 specialists of psychology and counseling participating in a semi-structured interview. Additionally, the related literature consisted of books, theses, and the available published papers from 1990 to 2014. Data obtained from the interview and literature review were analyzed through the grounded theory and qualitative content analysis method, respectively, and the main categories of academic success were extracted. Then, the factors affecting the academic success were encoded into four main categories, each containing some subcategories. The main obtained categories are: 1. Consistent personal factors including subcategories of intelligence, personality and interest; 2. Inconsistent personal factors including academic self-concept, academic self-efficacy, academic engagement, academic procrastination, academic skills, achievement motivation, career adaptability, emotional intelligence; 3. Family factors including parenting style, paternal involvement, attachment and socioeconomic status; 4. Factors related to the academic atmosphere including students’ perception of school environment and society.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of couples' educational level differences on marital adjustment and marital function.. The sample includes 120 couples in Isfahan in 2017 that passed at least 5 years of their marriage. These individuals were selected from couples who live in six regions of Isfahan by a clustering method, and the sample was divided into three groups as follows: 1 - Male educational level is higher than that of female (40), 2 - Female educational level is higher than that of male (40), and 3 - Female and male have the same level of education (40). To collect data, the Revised Martial Adjustment Questionnaire (RDAS), Measurement of Marital Function Questionnaire and Short Neo-Form Questionnaire (60 items) were used. Data were collected to compare marital function and martial adjustment of couples with different compositions of educational levels by SPSS statistical software. The results of covariance (ANCOVA) and multivariate analysis of variance (MANCOVA) showed that the level of martial adjustment and some of the components of marital function in couples, differs with different compositions educational levels. Based on the findings of this study, martial adjustment is more ideal for couples in which male educational level is higher than that of women. There is also no difference in the martial function of couples with different levels of education, but in terms of emotional expression, communication, economics and financial affairs, couples with an equal educational level are in a more ideal situation.

The present study was conducted aimed at investigating the effectiveness of Miller’s family relationship enrichment training in psychological well-being and marital violence from the perspective of abused women. The research method was semi-experimental (pre-test -post-test and follow-up with control group). The statistical population comprised all the couples who were victims of marital violence and referred to counseling centers in District 2 of Mashhad in Spring 2017. Of these couples, 30 were selected through convenience and purposeful sampling and were randomly assigned into two experimental (15 couples) and control (15 couples) groups. the experimental group received treatment for 8 sessions of a 90-minute weekly treatment, and the control group received no intervention during this period. to collect data, the Instrument for the Study of Marital Violence Scale (Strauss et al., 1996) and Reef's Psychological Well-being (1980) were employed. the research data was analyzed using the variance analysis with repeated measurements. the research findings demonstrated that Miller’s family relationship enrichment training affects psychological well-being and marital violence from the perspective of abused women (P>0.05). Also, the sustained effect of treatment was maintained after two months (p <0.05). according to the research results, it can be concluded that with enriched relationships between couples, their psychological well-being will be improved from the perspective of abused women and as a result of this improvement, marital violence of their spouses will decrease.

The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of positive cognitive-behavioral therapy on female's positive and negative affection with spouse with mental disorders in Isfahan city. The research method was a quasi-experimental design with pre-test-post-test design with control group. The statistical population included all women with spouse with mental disorder referred to counseling centers under the welfare organization of Isfahan. The sampling method was purposeful and among 30 women who were willing to cooperate in therapeutic sessions, they were assigned randomly in two groups: experimental (15) and control group (15). The experimental group received 10 sessions of positive cognitive behavioral therapy. After completion of sessions and 45 days after the follow up, they responded to the Watson et al. (1988) positive and negative affective questionnaire. The results of multivariate analysis of covariance showed that positive cognitive-behavioral therapy interventions increased positive emotional and decreased negative affect in the experimental group compared to the control group (p <0.001). In addition, this effect has been confirmed in the follow-up phase (p <0.001). Therefore, positive cognitive-behavioral interventions can be used to increase positive affection and reduce negative affection for women with spouse with mental disorders.

This study done with the purpose of investigate the effectiveness metacognitive therapy with emphasis on executive functions on two variables of cognitive- attention syndrome and sense of coherence in anxious students. The statistical population of this study was all female high school students in the Tehran, who were studying in the academic year of 1395-96 . The sample consisted of 20 anxious students who were selected by multistage purposive sampling. The research tools included Beck anxiety Inventory ( BAI; 1990 ), Antonovsky’s sense of coherence Inventory (SOC- 13 ,1993); Cognitive-Attention Syndrome Scale(CAS , Adrian Wells 2009) and the Meta-cognition questionnaire for adolescents(MCQ-A , 2004). Students responded to questions in three steps. Meta-cognitive therapy intervention (Adrian Wells, 2009) was conducted for seven sessions of 45-60 minutes and homework using the Tajhiz Sina’s WORKING MEMORY TRAINING Software(2010).Data analysis was carried out using parametric test, multivariate covariance analysis (MANCOVA). The results of the analysis showed that cognitive therapy, with emphasis on executive functions, reduced cognitive-Attention syndrome and improved the sense of coherence among students.

The aim of this study was to determine the efficacy of combination therapy based on acceptance, commitment and hope in improving quality of life in patients with cancer in Yasuj. The research method is a semi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test design with two experimental and control groups. The statistical population of this study included 100 cancer patients who were admitted to Yasuj Shahid Beheshti Hospitals in the 3rd month of 1396 and the first two months of 2018and have clinical records. In a simple random sampling, 30 patients between the ages of 19 and 55 years were selected for chemotherapy in the center and divided into two groups of 15 subjects. In this study, there was no limited type of cancer, and the criteria for entering the study were as follows: being alert, aged 19 to 55 years, definite diagnosis of cancer with the approval of a specialist physician, at least once, treatment with chemotherapy drugs, and for data collection and analysis. Life expectancy inventory and covariance analysis were used. The findings of the study showed that combination therapy based on acceptance, commitment, and hope of health in improving the quality of life in Yasuj is significant level for confirming the hypothesis of P <0.5.
