The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of schema therapy in decreasing the maladaptive schemas of women with social anxiety disorder. The research method was a single-case experimental design with multiple baselines. Five patients were selected using purpose sampling method. They attended in 20 sessions of therapy individually according to Young's schema therapy model. The instruments used in this study were tests of social anxiety and Young Schema Questionnaire (YSQ: long form). The improved diagnostic method and clinical significance were used for analyzing the data. The results showed that Young's schema therapy model reduced the activity of the early maladaptive schemas significantly in all areas of schemas. The results of follow-up showed the treatment had been persistent and effective. The Young's schema therapy model can be used for the treatment of chronic mental disorders that early maladaptive schemas play a primarily role in their persistance.

The tool which was used in this research was Dyadic Adjustment Spanier(DAS). After pre-test was performed for all subjects, the experimental group attended seven sessions (each session two hours, once a week) in semantic cognitive therapy .Then, a post adjustment test was taken from both groups. The findings were analyzed by covariance analysis. The results showed that the cognitive therapy of semantic has improved the adjustment of all subjects (P=0/000).

The Subject of this study is narcissism, self-esteem, and aggression in adolescents. The aim of the current study was to investigate the relationship between narcissism, self-esteem and dimensions of aggression and compare sex differences in these variables in adolescents. 258 adolescents (124 boys and 134 girls) 14-18 years old, were selected by using multistage cluster random sampling method and were assessed by Narcissistic personality inventory (NPI-16) self- esteem and Aggression questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient, multiple regression analysis and T test. The results showed positive significant relations between narcissism, self-esteem and aggression and negative relations between self-esteem and aggression. Multiple regression analysis showed that low self-esteem is most responsible in predicting aggression in adolescents. The findings showed no sex differences in features of narcissism and self esteem among adolescents and sex differences in the dimensions of aggression was observed only in physical aggression. The results of this study can be beneficial for a better understanding of theoretical and clinical relationship between narcissism, self-esteem, and aggression in adolescents.
