Abstract
Couple coping enhancement training is one of the new trainings for couples, which trains them how to cope with stress as a couple. Therefore, the aim of the research was the effectiveness of couple coping training (CCET) on we-ness and marital distress of distressed couples. The semi-experimental research method was a single-case analysis, and the participants were evaluated in the stages of baseline, training, and follow-up; Data analysis was done using Excel software for visual drawing, Reliable Change Index, and recovery percentage. The studied population was all distressed couples of Isfahan city in 1401, from among them a sample of eight people (four couples) was selected with purposeful sampling method. participants were evaluated using the Topco-Uzer we-ness questionnaire (2020) and the Marital distress Questionnaire of Wishman et al. (2009). The findings showed that people were able to experience a slight improvement in we-ness because of CCET, and these values were higher in women, but the effectiveness of couple confrontation training on the marital distress of 6 people (the first, second and fourth couples) Significant results were obtained in the follow-up phase. As a result, the couple coping enhancement training program was able to help reduce the marital turmoil of troubled couples; But in the case of we-ness, which is a deep feeling in a marital relationship and its requirement is to reach a common meaning and vision in the relationship, this training alone did not show the necessary effectiveness.
