Abstract

The increase in conflict between the sub-systems of husband and wife, parents and children is one of the negative consequences of home quarantine caused by the spread of the corona virus, especially in couples who both work. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of identifying the family challenges of working couples in crisis conditions and using a phenomenological method. The studied population is equal to the participants of the research, which included working couples in Tehran in 2019 who met the criteria for entering the research. The sample consisted of 16 couples, both working, who were selected based on the logic of purposeful and accessible sampling. A semi-structured interview was used to collect information and the interviews continued until saturation was reached. The analysis and analysis of data was done using the Claizian descriptive method. The findings of the current research are "experience of negative and unpleasant psychological emotions, obsessive worries about compliance with health protocols, experience of turmoil in marital relationship, experience of parenting conflict, experience of sibling-brother conflict, spillover of work-family conflict, The overflow of family-work conflict, experiencing financial-economic challenges and hardships, school-oriented parenting challenges, experiencing physical problems and turmoil in free time. The results of the present study showed that the couples of both working people experience a range of multifaceted family challenges in crisis situations which are completely intrapersonal on the one hand and completely interpersonal on the other hand, which with the addition of job issues , they understand multiple multifaceted exhaustion.
