Emotion regulation as well as the hormone oxytocin are among the factors affecting couple interaction. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of emotion-focused couple therapy on emotion regulation and plasma levels of blood oxytocin hormones. The research method was quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest design with a control group. The study population consisted of couples in Tehran in 1397 who were randomly selected by calling 15 couples in cyberspace and randomly assigned to two groups of control (7 couples) and experimental (8 couples). In addition the emotion difficulty questionnaire (Gertz and Roemer, 2004) and the marital conflict questionnaire (Barati and Sanaei, 2000), ELISA laboratory analysis was used to measure plasma oxytocin levels to collect data. The experimental group underwent emotion-focused couple therapy for 12 sessions, while the control group did not receive any intervention. In addition to descriptive statistics, analysis of covariance and Benferoni pair comparison were used to analyze the data. The results showed that emotion-focused couple therapy improves couples' emotion regulation scores in the components of non-acceptance of emotional response, limited access to emotional regulation strategies and lack of emotional clarity (P<0/05), but on components difficult to perform purposeful behavior, difficulty in controlling impulse and lack Emotional awareness is not significantly effective (P>0/05). The results also showed that emotion-focused couple therapy has a significant effect on reducing the plasma oxytocin level of couples (P<0/05). The results showed that emotion-focused couple therapy can be used to improve emotion regulation and change in the secretion of oxytocin.

The present study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of emotion regulation training based on Gross's model on the reappraisal and emotional Suppression in the soldiers with opioid use disorder. The design of the study was semi-experimental and has performed in a pretest-posttest format with a control group. All the soldiers who were under the methadone maintenance treatment at the medical clinic of Kerman Air Force Base were the population of the study. Using random sampling Method, 40 soldiers were recruited as the sample members and then divided into experiment and control groups accidentally. After separating the groups, the experimental group members received 8 sessions of emotion regulation training (90 minutes per a session) based on Gross's model. And, at last, posttest conducted for both group members again. The analysis of Covariance test was employed for the data analyzing. The result of the study indicated that, the emotion regulation training has been effective in increasing the reappraisal, and decreasing the emotional suppression in experiment group members. In regard to the findings of the present study, it can be conclude that, emotion regulation training, by increasing the adaptive strategies (reappraisal), and decreasing the maladaptive strategies of regulating the emotional experiences (suppression), is able to prepare a propitious condition for treatment of opioid use disorder.

Addiction can cause many problems for the addict and his family, so that the addict's family suffer from more problems. The aim of current research was to investigate the effectiveness of mindfulness training on emotion regulation and quality of life of addict’s Wife. The research method is semi-experimental and the pretest- posttest design with control group was used. Population in this study consisted the addicts’ wife referring to the Addiction Treatment Centers of Rasht city in 2014. 20 ones were selected based on available sampling method and were assigned using random sampling method in two experimental and control groups (10 ones per group). The experimental group participated in 8 sessions of mindfulness training and control group received no intervention. The emotion regulation scale and quality of life questionnaire were used for data collection. The gathered data were analyzed by Spss version 18 using analysis of covariance. The results show that there exist significant differences between post-test scores of the experimental and control group and mindfulness training could significantly increase emotion regulation and quality of life of addict’s wife (P>0.01). Thus interventions based on this approach lead to increasing emotion wellbeing and quality of life of these women.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the regulation of emotion in anxiety and perfectionism in middle school students a sample of 192 first-year students from all high schools in the city of Sanandaj academic year 90-91 cluster sampling method was chosen. Data collection included three questionnaires, Scale problem in the regulation of emotions, both positive and negative perfectionism scale- of (soert and colleagues- and test anxiety). The findings obtained from the results regression analysis anticipated stepwise of correlation coefficient showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the negative perfectionism and emotion regulation with test anxiety. But this correlation is different between boys and girls, anxiety was higher in girls than boys. The results show that using a variables of emotion regulation and perfectionism, students’ test anxiety can be predicted.
