The aim of present study was to examine the mediating role of hope in the relationship between self-efficacy and flourishing among counselors and psychologists. The research method was correlational using the structural equation modeling method. The sample consisted of 407 counselors and psychologists who were selected online through social media (Female :319, Male: 88). The instruments used were General Self-efficacy scale, Hope scale, and Flourishing scale. Data analysis was performed by statistical methods of Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling using SPSS-24 and AMOS-24 software. The result of structural equation modeling revealed that the model of relationship between self-efficacy, hope and flourishing, had a good fit. According results, high levels of self-efficacy and hope, predicted greater levels of flourishing. Also, hope emerged as a mediator in the link between self-efficacy with flourishing. This study showed that self-efficacy and hope play an important role in the rate of flourishing and targeting them can promote the well-being in counselors and psychologists.

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of Adler's theory of self-efficacy, life satisfaction and emotional adjustment in conflicting couples in Tehran. The research method was experimental and pre-test and post-test design with control group was used. The statistical population of this study is the conflicting couples of Tehran city. According to the population of conflicting couples in Tehran, their total number was 20,000. Using Cochran formula to select the sample size, 384 individuals were selected as the sample, and among them, the couples who scored lower in the questionnaires, 50 were selected as the main sample, divided into two groups of 25 people. The data were collected by self-efficacy questionnaire Sherer et al. (1982), Life satisfaction questionnaire Diner, Immunes, Larsen and Griffin (1985) and Goranfsky et al. (2001). To analyze the data, one-variable covariance analysis analysis was used. The results showed that Shanker's method based on Adler's theory of self-efficacy, life satisfaction and emotional regulation of conflicting couples in Tehran was significantly more effective than the control group (P <0.001). Therefore, considering the educational effectiveness of the encouragement method, these interventions can be used in family counseling and psychotherapy settings. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the combined intervention based on hope and Adler’s lifestyle therapy on self-efficacy, sense of coherence and self-compassion in individuals with physical disability. This study carried out in the framework of a single case study. The sample of this study were two women with physical disability who were selected by purposeful sampling. Before 7 sessions intervention protocol, at first, self-efficacy, sense of coherence and self-compassion questionnaires for determining the baseline were completed by the subjects. Again, these questionnaires were completed at the first, third, fifth and seventh sessions and one month later. Data analyzed by graphical analysis, percentage of recovery and ANOVA with repeated measurement. The findings showed that there were significant clinical and statistical improvements in self-efficacy, sense of coherence and self-compassion after treatment. Within a month of follow-up, improvements were maintained that indicating the sustainability of treatment effects. Considering that the significance level of F values for the difference between the mean of total scores in self-compassion, self-efficacy and coherence is less than 0.05 (p <0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that the combined intervention of hope and treatment Adler’s Life Style has had a significant effect on self-esteem, self-efficacy and sense of coherence in people with physical disabilities. According to the results, the support of the effectiveness of combined intervention based on hope and Adler’s lifestyle therapy on self-efficacy, sense of coherence and self-compassion in individuals with physical disability was provided.

Abstract One of the issues that has recently been taken into consideration by sports psychologists is sport Achievement Motivation. The purpose of this research was to study the relationship between self-efficacy and optimism with Dimensions of sport Achievement Motivation among physical education students of Karaj Azad University in the academic year 2016-2017 using the correlation method. To determine the sample size, 380 subjects (230 Female and 150 male) were selected by Morgan table. In this research, three questionnaires were used for collecting data including: Scheier and Carver’s optimism questionnaire, Gale’s Sport Orientation Questionnaire and Scheier’s General Self-Efficacy Scale. To analyze the data by the SPSS software the descriptive statistics such as mean, standard deviation, variance, minimum and maximum score, and inferential statistics such as Pearson correlation and regression coefficients were used. The results of the study showed that there is a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and optimism with Dimensions of sport Achievement Motivation. abstractThe aim of this study was to develop a causal model of academic burnout based on social support and maladaptive perfectionism, considering the mediating role of self-efficacy among BA students of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz. A number of 493 students (139 male and 354 female) were chosen through cluster sampling method, firstly and then, relative stratified sampling method. To collect the data, Maslach burnout inventory-student survey (2002), Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASSS) of Malecki, Demaray, and Elliott (2000), Stober scale of perfectionism(2007) and Sherer self-efficacy scale(1982) were utilized. Path analyses showed that classmate support and maladaptive perfectionism had both direct and indirect effects on academic burnout (considering self-efficacy as mediator). The explained variance of academic burnout in model was 0.27, totally. All model fit indices were at ok fit and showed the fitness of model. Implications for coping with academic burnout are discussed in the paper.

The purpose of this study was to find the relationship between positive affection, working conditions and goal support with job satisfaction based on mediating role of self-efficacy and goal progress. Statistical population of the study were teachers, teaching at schools of Shahriar city. A total of 274 teachers were selected using cluster sampling. The respondents answered the job satisfaction, positive affect, goal progress, goal support, and self-efficacy and work conditions questionnaires. The results showed that the model used was not fit for respondents. However, using modification indices resulted in modifying of present model and pathways of positive affection to job satisfaction, work conditions to job satisfaction and pathways of self-efficacy to job satisfaction were omitted. This modified model was fitted for the participants. Because omitting of pathways of self-efficacy, positive affection and working conditions to job satisfaction in modified model, all variables, except goal support, had indirect effect, through goal progress, on job satisfaction.
