In recent decades, many studies have examined the relationship between job stress and personality variables. But the results are not consistent and sometimes different results have been reported. Meta-analysis is a systematic technique to solve different resultsin the findings studies about the same topic.Accordingly, the aim of the present research was a meta-analysis of the association between job stress and personality variables. Data collected from 106 studies conducted from 1993-2013 and was analyzed then the effect sizes were computed.Findings revealed that the combined effect size for fixed model was 0. 23 and for random model was 0. 24, which both were small effect sizes) Cohen, 1988). Further meta-analysis showed that the Positive affect, anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, time management, hardiness, resiliency, assertiveness variables had significant large positive effects size on job stress. We checked for Publication bias and heterogeneity of effects. The results showed no bias but due to heterogeneity of effects, demographic and methodological variables were examined . Findings revealed that sampling, kind of job, kind of studies and Measuring tools could moderate the relationship between job stress and personality variables as the moderator effects. The overall results suggested that personality variables that emphases on self-understanding have more impact in reducing job stress. Therefore, a further study in this area is needed.

Marital satisfaction is one of very important and complex aspect of marital relationship is complex that many factors are involved and can be influenced by different interventions. So evaluation and validation of effectiveness of psychological interventions - counseling on marital satisfaction is very importance. This study with integration of difference research results aims to determine the impact of psychological interventions - counseling on marriage and marital satisfaction. Methods: For this purpose, of 45 researches, 33 researches were selected and meta-analysis was performed on them. Research instrument was a checklist of meta-analysis. Findings: The amount of effect size of psychological interventions-counseling on marriage and marital satisfaction was 1/25) p≤0/00001). Conclusion: according to Cohen's effect size interpretation table was high the high the effect size indicated psychological interventions – counseling. In other words, psychological interventions - counseling is very effective in enhancing marital satisfaction.

In recent years, experts have been seeking to evaluate and compare the validity and efficiency of psychological interventions and medical treatment in migraine and tension headaches. In this regard, meta-analysis determines the effect of the type of treatment by unifying the results gained from different studies. The present research aims at examining the effectiveness of the said two types of treatments on reducing the symptoms of migraine and tension headaches using meta-analysis research pattern. For this purpose, 21 studies out of 45 studies acceptable in terms of methodology are selected and meta-analysis was conducted on them. The research instrument is the meta-analysis checklist. The findings show that the effect size of psychological intervention on decreasing the symptoms of migraine and tension headaches is 0.64 (p≤0.01). The effect size of medical treatment turns out to be 0.33 (p≤0.01). It can therefore be concluded that the effect size of psychological intervention is large and that of the medical treatment is medium according to Cohen’s effect size table.

In recent years, psychologists and psychiatrists sought to evaluate and compare the validity and efficiency of psychological interventions and medicinal treatments in the field of depression disorder. In this regard, by integrating the results of different studies, meta-analysis determines the level of the effect of treatment methods. This study aims at investigating into the level of the effect of psychological interventions and medicinal treatments on reducing depression symptoms using the meta-analysis model. For this purpose, 65 methodologically acceptable studies were selected and the meta-analysis method was applied. The research tool used in this study is the meta-analysis checklist. The level of the effect of psychological interventions on reducing depression symptoms is found to be d=0/47 (P< 0/0001) which is considered an average level according to Cohen’s table. The level of the effect of medicinal treatments is d=0/62 (P< 0/0001), which is higher than average based on the above mentioned table. Therefore it seems that medicinal treatments along with psychological interventions can be applied as appropriate treatments for individuals suffering from depression symptoms.
